Data challenges the world. The department of statistics and data science trains students to take part in the data revolution. Students will have a solid foundation in statistical theory and methods, focusing on analysis and communication of data by involving in probability, statistics, data science and computer programming. The department works with a broad range of statistical computing and programming languages and provide expertise on predictive modeling, survey analysis, survival analysis, small area estimation, Bayesian analysis, machine learning, data visualization, and time series analysis.

Provide effective analyses from real data using a variety of data analytical approaches
